One of the most important aspects of a good window is the glass that is chosen for the frame. Solace™ Windows offers low emissivity glass or Low-E, which has become a popular choice. Low-E glass has a microscopically thin metal coating that reduces heat transfer through the glass by about 40-70% compared to clear glass offering better energy efficiency. There is no reduction in the amount of light that is allowed to pass through the window, yet it blocks ultra-violet and infrared rays which can be harmful to your skin and cause damage or fading to your furnishings.
